In Pakistan both mutton and beef have become so expensive that poor people eagerly wait for Eid-ul-Adha to eat meat. I am not a very big lover of meat but I always enjoy trying different meat recipes at Eid. Beef boti kebab is a very famous dish which is usually made on this Eid. Beef boti is boneless cube of beef meat about one inch size. There are so many ways of making beef boti. Some people barbecue it by putting meat on skewers, some cook it on griddle, and some fry it.There is option of form of meat also for making it. You can make it with chicken, mutton, and lamb also. Beef boti recipe which I am sharing with you is very delicious, tender, juicy, and smoky.  Spices and ingredients used to make this recipe are so aromatic that your mouth will immediately starts watering. I have marinated it in a way that you can make it in any form, barbecue, grill, or cook on griddle. I have cooked it in a wok and gave steam of burnt charcoal to include barbecue flavor in it. Sometimes it is difficult to make barbecue arrangements and this beef boti kebab recipe is quick and easy way to enjoy barbecue flavored meat at home. It is a version of Pakistani beef boti masala recipe or you can call it barbecue beef boti.

It is very important that you make sure your beef boti is fully tender. Rubbery and chewy beef boti is not only difficult to eat but also difficult to digest. Beef takes longer time to cook as compared to other forms of meat. You should give proper marinating time to meat and use some meat tenderizer. I personally don’t like meat tenderizer made with chemicals as it changes the texture of meat. Fresh raw papaya or raw papaya powder is best to tender your beef. This beef boti is best to include in your Eid dinners and Eid barbeque parties.

How to serve beef boti?

Mostly beef boti kebab is served with some mint sauce or tamarind sauce. But I also serve fresh naans and onion salad with it. You can actually make very yummy beef boti rolls with naans. First apply mint sauce on naan, add beef boti kebabs and some fresh salad, roll up naan and enjoy. You can also make beautiful skewers by putting these boti kebabs on sticks with cubes of grilled veggies. You can add cubes of onion, tomatoes, and capsicum. These colorful skewers look very presentable and attractive.

Can I save cooked beef boti kebab for ling time?

I personally recommend preparing fresh kebabs and serving immediately. When we freeze these kebabs for long time, they become hard and spices change their flavor. Only we should refrigerate leftover boti kebabs in refrigerator, covering properly to intact their moisture, for 2-3 days. Heat them up in steamer, whenever we have to reuse them.
