Nature has given us a priceless gift in the form of lemons which has countless benefits. Weather its cooking, baking, beauty and skin care, cure for diseases, or weight loss diet, lemons are part of our daily life. Lemon also has a very refreshing flavor and fragrance. Summer season is on its peak and how someone doesn’t like a cool glass of lemonade, combined with fresh seasonal fruits. It is very important to keep your body hydrated to beat this severe hot temperature. Homemade lemonade recipe made with fresh fruits puree, lemon juice and fresh mint is best to have these days.

I have used three different seasonal fruits for making my lemonade drinks. Despite being so good in taste, these drinks also refresh and sooth your body from inside. You can also try my refreshing pinacolada and healthy mango smoothie recipes. They are best to have with spicy food like BBQ.  We can also serve them in parties and gatherings to our guests.

Blackcurrant lemonade

Blackcurrant is a fruit which is very abundant in Pakistan these days and very cheap in price also. It is immensely beneficial for us and it is better to utilize it fully in its season. Blackcurrant is very rich in vitamin c and iron, has antioxidant properties, and strengthens your immune system and digestive system. Blackcurrant is very delicate and starts decaying very soon. We can make its puree in bulk once and freeze it for later use.

 It is very sour in taste also and to make lemonade of it, some sweetener is required. I personally prefer honey instead of sugar because it not only acts as sweetener but also healthier than sugar. Combining this fruit with lemon, mint, and honey increases its benefits. This purple lemonade is a perfect drink to soothe your body and mind.

Peach lemonade

Peach is another fruit which is very abundant these days. It is my personal favorite and I eat it to maximum during its season. They are also one of nature’s best creations. Despite being yummy they are rich in vitamin A and C, potassium, and iron. They are very good for our healthy skin and healthy digestive system. Peach lemonade is a perfect way to enjoy peach in summer. My peach lemonade recipe is very simple and quick. Just combine lemon juice, peaches, mint, honey, and salt. Blend them together, add soda water, and enjoy.

I have added soda water to give that sparkling foamy texture to drink. If you are more health conscious, you can only add cold water. This lemonade is full of refreshing juicy and fruity flavors. Super enhancing smell of peach surely forces you to keep blending and making this drink all the time.

Plum lemonade

Plum is yet another great fruit which is in season these days. This fruit is used in all forms, raw, fully ripe, and dried. It is full of fiber and antioxidants. It is very good for controlling high blood pressure, regulating blood sugar, and for bone health. It is also very good for lowering anxiety. Plum lemonade is best to keep your body cool in rising temperature.

During summer we often get the symptoms of increased acidity and dehydration. People who work outside in naked sun often get heat strokes. Lemonade made with plum, mint, and lemon juice is best to avoid these symptoms. This plum lemonade recipe is again very simple, healthy, and great in taste.

Ingredients

Blackcurrant lemonade

  • 150 gm fresh blackcurrant
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 glass soda water
  • ½ glass water

Peach lemonade

  • 100 gm Fresh peach
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 glass soda water

Plum lemonade

  • 100 gm fresh plum
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 glass soda water

Instructions

  • Add fresh blackcurrant, lemon juice, honey, salt, and water in blender and blend all ingredients for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add fresh mint in blender and blend again for 2 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture to separate seeds. put strained mixture again in blender, add crushed ice and blend it again.
  • Put blended puree in jug. Add soda water and serve chilled.
  • Peel peaches, cut them in small cubes. Add peach cubes, lemon juice, honey, crushed ice, mint, and salt in blender and blend for 3-4 minutes. I like pulpy texture that is why I do not strain puree. you can strain if you like smooth puree.
  • Put puree in jug, add soda water, and serve immediately.
  • Peel plums and deseed them. Add plums, salt, honey, mint, crushed ice, and honey in blender and blend for 3-4 minutes. if plus are sweet then add less amount of honey. You can strain puree for smoother drink.
  • Put puree in jug, add soda water, and serve immediately.
